Sorry for driving you nuts with phone messages to 3 phone numbers. Gene Gohlke gave 2 numbers, found the Lewisville number on this site. I am going to have the carpet in my den replaced with laminate. My fireplace one of the vent-less gas types, so no embers to worry about. I would like to have the brick hearth (which extends about 2 feet into the room, 6 inches high from floor, maybe 5 feet across) cut back to about 2 inches all around. The mantel side wood sits on the brick, thus wishing to leave something still there. Will laminate up to the new brick face.
